Human-machine interaction has long been approached primarily through the lens of efficiency and functionality. However, today the emotional, perceptual, and experiential dimensions of this interaction are increasingly taking center stage. This study acknowledges that users' relationships with digital systems are shaped not only by rational decisions but also by emotions, intuitions, and subjective experiences. It aims to examine interaction design within this multi-layered structure. The primary goal is to enable technological systems to establish more meaningful, intuitive, and empathetic relationships with humans.
Purpose
In this context, the fundamental principles developed in the fields of Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience (UX) will first be addressed. Concepts such as perceptibility, cognitive load, feedback, consistency, and accessibility will be evaluated in relation to emotional experience. At the same time, the impact of design decisions on user perception will be analyzed through elements such as color, typography, movement, sound, and interaction durations. Thus, the balance between technical accuracy and emotional impact will be questioned.
The second phase of the study will focus on the design of emotional feedback systems. Interfaces that respond to the user's actions not only functionally but also emotionally will be designed. The emotional connection established with the user through micro-interactions, animations, and auditory or visual cues will be examined; the effects of this feedback on trust, satisfaction, and loyalty will be evaluated. The goal is to ensure that the systems become structures that communicate with the user rather than directing them.
